Finally! After two events having to be cancelled already in 2019 (thanks Melbourne weather!), the first JDMMelb event of 2019 has concluded!
It was a great event to kick off the year with actually, the day turned out to be perfect with a not too crazy hot 33 degrees and blue skies as far as the eye could see.
The cruise began with a meet at up the amazing Cardinia Reservoir near Emerald, with wayyyy more cars arriving than I originally expected you could imagine the excitement I was feeling, as well as how much I was freaking out at the same time. Haha!
For anyone not familiar with the JDMMelb style of cruise, they aren’t a traditional start-to-finish cruise. Rather, we stop at a few different points along a route to take a break, chat, eat, and of course, take some photos in the surroundings. (It’s almost like a moving car meet!)
This cruise included stops at Emerald-Beaconsfield Road Lookout, Emerald Lake Park and finished at Silvan Dam Lookout in Kalorama.
Overall the day was very much a success and a great start to 2019 for myself and I can’t wait to run more events as the year progresses!
